Dialogue: (對話)
  | (Joey just came back from the office break room. ) |
Hope: | Hey, Joey—You look pale. What’s up? |
Joey: | Oh, Hope… you will not believe what I just found in the office fridge. |
Hope: | Uh-oh. Let me guess… The infamous three-week-old moldy sandwich that Michael left? |
Joey: | Worse than that. It was Michael’s sandwich and we all know that. |
Hope: | So, what’s that so appalling to you? |
Joey: | Someone left a 保鮮盒 in the fridge. You know that, right? |
Hope: | That Tupperware container? |
Joey: | 沒錯! That Tupperware container. It’s been sitting there for a month. Somehow, someone shoved it into the corner and it just appeared again. |
Hope: | And you don’t know who it belongs to? |
Joey: | Nobody! |
Hope: | So, the owner totally ghosted it! |
Joey: | Ghosted it? |
Hope: | Right. The owner has completely abandoned it, disappeared, zero responsibility. |
Joey: | Exactly. That’s what I want to say, “The owner has completely ghosted it or abandoned it! |
Hope: | Perhaps, we can just toss it. No big deal. |
Joey: | I tried to. But, you know, the lid was already鼓起來了。So, I thought there was a need to check what was going on. |
Hope: | You mean the lid was bulging, and you wanted to do vibe check on it?! |
I had to do a vibe check on it because the lid was … |
Hope: | Bulging! |
Joey: | Yes, the lid was bulging. |
Hope: | Ew. So? |
Joey: | So, I opened it. YOLO, right? You only live once. |
Hope: | You did not! So, what happened? Tell me all the details. |
Joey: | It used to be chili. Now, it’s just like a … like a …living thing. |
Hope: | A what? Gross! A new pulsating life form with multicolored fuzz?! |
Joey: | Yes. A new pulsating life form with multicolored fuzz. And you would never want to smell it! Yikes. |
Hope: | That’s so disgusting! You mean it was the king of all bad smells. |
Joey: | |
Hope: | An Undisputed fact! |
Joey: | Yes, an undisputed fact! So, I stepped back and thought about throwing the whole thing, the container and all, into the trash can. |
Hope: | No kidding. It sounds like a biohazard to me, too. |
Joey: | Yes. It is like a biohazard. To even look at it, 你需要一顆很強壯的心臟! |
Hope: | I bet! You need a strong stomach to look at it. |
Joey: | Not a strong heart, but a strong stomach? |
Hope: | Right. You need a strong stomach. |
Joey: | I don’t know, but if the owner ever shows up, I am going to roast them for life! |
